Sheryl Crow is an American singer-songwriter and musician with an estimated net worth of $70 million. Crow has sold more than 50 million records worldwide during her career, which has spanned genres such as pop, country, jazz, and rock. Her contributions to the world of music are praised by critics, and she has won numerous honors, including nine Grammys. Additionally, Sheryl appears as an actress in a variety of television shows.

Early Years

Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 11th, 1962. She was raised alongside three siblings in a Presbyterian household by musician parents. Sheryl was initially interested in both music and athletics, and in addition to joining the high school track team, she also won a beauty contest during her teenage years.

After completing high school, Crow attended the School of Music at the University of Missouri to study music composition, performance, and education. During her college years, she joined Cashmere, a local band, and a sorority. She eventually obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Career

After graduating from college, Sheryl accepted a position as a music teacher at an elementary school in Missouri. She recorded jingles for commercials as a side job and earned approximately $40,000 after singing on a McDonald’s commercial. She then became Michael Jackson’s backup singer and toured with him in the late 1980s. This resulted in an increase in opportunities as a background vocalist for artists such as Stevey Wonder and Don Henley.

Crow originally intended to release her debut album in 1992, but she was dissatisfied with the recordings. The album was completely scrapped after both she and her record label determined that it was insufficient. Sheryl Crow, on the other hand, discovered the sound she desired when she collaborated with a group called the Tuesday Music Club, which included musicians such as Kevin Gilbert, Bill Bottrell, and Brian MacLeod.

In 1993, she released her debut album, entitled “Tuesday Music Club.” In 1994, following the discovery of the song “All I Wanna Do,” Crow’s popularity skyrocketed, despite the fact that the album had initially failed to gain traction. Eventually, the album sold well, and Sheryl was awarded three Grammys.

Crow’s second self-titled album garnered further success in 1996. She released “The Globe Sessions” in 1998, another critically acclaimed album that included the hit “My Favorite Mistake.” She released the album “C’mon C’mon” in 2002, which featured the smash hit “Soak Up the Sun.” Her string of well-received albums ended in 2005, when her album “Wildflower” received mixed reviews.

Crow rebounded with the 2008 release of “Detours,” which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The 2010 release of “100 Miles From Memphis” was her subsequent effort. In 2011, she parted ways with A&M Records and shifted her focus to country music for her follow-up album. In 2013, she released the chart-topping single “Feels Like Home.” In 2017, she released “Me Myself,” a return to the style of music that made her famous in the 1990s. Television and Film

Crow made her acting debut in 1999, co-starring in “The Minus Man” with her then-boyfriend. She has appeared on “One Tree Hill,” “30 Rock,” “Hannah Montana,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” and a number of reality television programmes. She frequently portrays herself on television. Sheryl has also recorded a number of songs for the soundtracks of various films.

Relationships

Sheryl Crow is well-known for her relationships with other famous celebrities. In the late 1990s, she dated the significantly older Eric Clapton. She also dated actor Owen Wilson, about whom she wrote the song “C’mon C’mon.” Additionally, she was previously engaged to cyclist Lance Armstrong, but the two called it quits and divorced in 2006.

Cancer of the Breast Diagnosis

Crow had surgery in 2006 to treat a non-invasive form of breast cancer. She recovered completely following surgery and seven weeks of radiation therapy. She assisted the Crow Imaging Center at Funk’s Pink Lotus Breast Center due to this experience.

Real property

Sheryl Crow has an extensive portfolio of real estate, although she occasionally has difficulty selling her properties. She established a foothold in Hollywood in the late 1990s when she purchased a multi-residence compound in the Runyon Canyon area above Los Angeles. She purchased the 10-acre property for $5,300,000 and subsequently listed it for nearly $16 million. However, she had difficulty selling the property and had to repeatedly reduce the price to generate interest. In 2001, she paid $3.6 million for a home in Nashville’s suburbs. The property encompasses 49.5 acres of land.

In 2003, she paid $1 million for a property on Florida’s Rosa Beach. Cross Creek Farm was acquired by Crow in 2007. Just south of Nashville, the property consists of 146 acres and a working farm. Sheryl divided the farm into two distinct properties and listed them for sale. She initially listed the primary property (consisting of the main house and 51 acres) for $5.8 million, but subsequently reduced the price to $3.85 million.

In 2014, Sheryl was rumoured to have purchased three tracts of land in Nashville for $650.000. This totals approximately 16 acres, and it is unclear what she intends to do with the undeveloped land, as few docks have been constructed along the Cumberland River. Sheryl Crow spent $1.2 million in 2015 on another property near Nashville. The house is roughly 4,500 square feet in size.
